Pastor's Letter February 2015
Dear Church Family
As we move into the second month of 2015 I have a growing excitement and anticipation of God’s plans unfolding before us. We have spent the first month of the year looking at who we are in Christ and looking at how we grow in our influence and impact upon those around us.
I mentioned a few weeks ago the picture I had received from God not long after becoming pastor of Liberty Church. The picture was a still pool of water and of a finger gently tapping the water causing ripples to flow out. The tapping was constant and rhythmic and the ripples which went out started to grow. I see this as a clear picture of the influence and impact of Liberty Church in Dunfermline and the surrounding area. God has commissioned us to keep tapping the water, to keep on each day representing him as ambassadors for his Kingdom, influencing through our lives and impacting with the power of God.
Jesus describes the Kingdom of God as a mustard seed. Though it is the smallest of seeds, when planted it can grow in to one of the largest of plants.
Let us all be encouraged to continue to declare our God given identity, to grow in confidence and faith, and to look for every opportunity to sow even the smallest seed for the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God is advancing in this generation, in this town, and God has placed us right in the middle of his plans to see his Kingdom come, to see hope come, and to see lives transformed, and all for the glory of God.
Love and Blessings
Jon
