Letter from Jon, July 2018

Dear Friends

Last month marked my 10th anniversary as Pastor of Liberty Church (time really does fly!), and I still feel so grateful and blessed to be part of such a wonderful and supportive Church Family.

A couple of weeks ago I asked for comments from the Church Family for a funding application, as to how Liberty had affected your lives, and I just wanted to share a few of these with you (anonymously):

Liberty to me has been a family where I can make mistakes, where I’m encouraged, loved, and built up.

The impact Liberty has had on my life is providing me with 'family' in Dunfermline when I have no real family here.

Liberty Church has been a huge part of my life for the past 27 years . It’s not just a community of people , it’s a place to feel welcome , ‘at home’ , supported , encouraged and where life experiences are shared and faith grown .

We have made so many strong friendships in this great church which has helped and supported us through tough times.

One of the greatest encouragements for me is knowing that the Church is a place of acceptance, love and support and that people’s lives are better for being part of the Liberty Family.  As I wrote the funding application last week, both in terms of what we are currently doing and what we can do in the future in and through Liberty Centre, I was stirred again to what God has in store for us as we move forward; the lives that will be changed, the friendships that will develop, the people who will be set free and find new hope and a new way of living.

Thank you for the last 10 years and all your love and support.  Here’s to the next 10 years of Liberty Church changing lives and glorifying our amazing God (in our new home!).

Love

Jon
